I love gin but find it to be the ugly stepsister to vodka’s extensive line of flavors. So after shaking up the tropical rose infuser, I decided to put my mad mixologist hat on and have some fun. The superfruit and berry flavor of the tropical rose infuser blends so well with Grand Marnier that the gin is hardly noticeable but makes a great cocktail! Now back to my laboratory!

recipe:

1 tropical rose infuser

2 oz. of Gin

.5 oz. of orange liqueur (grand mariner or triple sec)

splash of club soda

garnish with fresh basil leaf

Place infuser in cocktail shaker along with ice, Gin and Orange Liqueur. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain into a glass with ice and add a splash of soda water. Garnish with basil leaf.

Tried the tropical rose infuser for the first time…easy, fun and the best part…I used the infuser and made 2 other drinks with amazing results! I tried it exactly like the recipe…delicious!. Then, I tried it with just Pomegranate juice and a straight martini with vodka…with each one giving me a different flavor. Loved it as a straight vodka martini…I tasted the rose…so light and fresh!

My name is Matthew Reese and I recently got my hands on a few im-brue cocktail infusers. Being in my new apartment, I honestly don’t have anything to mix the infuser with to create a Cocktail. I can’t go out right now either to buy something, as I had to pay first and last months rent. But I do have a microwave, and I luckily found a mug, so I’m still in business.

Essentially, this is the poor mans guide to using the infuser, I figured I could just use it like a teabag.

I used a microwave. Then Enjoy.

You’re really supposed to mix it with another tea bag, such as green tea, but this way works fine as well.
